Breakfast …. always something with lurpak and marmalade! This time of year its hot cross buns, in the winter its crumpets, on special days its croissants and all the other days of the year its toast made from my special home made bread!

Journey to work …. in reality, this is just a walk downstairs! But this is my dream journey … from St Martins to St Marys in the Isles of Scilly on the fabulous whizzy boat.

Right: Me at work… in my pinny when baking, surrounded my my lovely vintage finds, love these old scales. Left: My workplace… love my studio in the garden where I meet couples to talk about their wedding cake plans

Coffee break …  in a supermarket cafe checking the baking ingredients list!

Inspiration   ….. my favourite place in the whole wide world, The Isles Of Scilly, where I can unwind and recharge.

Relaxing time …  Reading special books, I am in love with Dottie Angel.

Dream time …..  I love peace and harmony and having my family around me. This message embroidered on this heart is important to me.

My wedding is in February 2013 and I am worried about the British weather!  What can I use to keep myself warm during photos as I don’t want it to ruin them?

The weather is probably the one thing you cannot plan for in the UK so it is best to accept that it probably will be cold and rainy and so you can prepare for it.

Whilst sleeves and lace shrugs look pretty and the part of a winter wedding, they are not going to keep you warm.  You could possibly choose a fur stole or cashmere jacket which will take the bite away, but you must consider if you want this shown in your photos.  The other option is to ask a bridesmaid to keep a wrap handy so she can throw it over your shoulders between pictures and keep those goosebumps out of the shot!

Meet our friend Ben from Winestones Ice Cream / www.winestonesicecream.co.uk

Breakfast: Which I don’t often eat as I’ve become a health freak in a drive to run two marathons for charity towards the end of the year however when I have a morning off I head to soak up some atmosphere and read in Bath or a spot of breakfast with friends at Hobbs House (of Fabulous Baker Brothers fame).

Where I work/my route to work: My family’s ice cream factory sits on the beautiful slopes of Rodborough Common, managed by the National Trust, its Europe’s largest, pre-historic limestone common land which overlooks the Stroud valleys, made famous by Laurie Lee’s superb ‘Cider with Rosie’. Views are endless and breath taking.

What I do at work: My family have been making award winning ice cream since my great grandfather founded Winstones in 1925. It’s so popular that our shop (and me) can’t even cope, please do pop and say hello but expect queues!

Coffee Break: If the weather’s gorgeous then I spend my coffee break, just like all of our customers, soaking up the views, amongst the cows and rare butterflies, with a good book.

How I relax: I wrote my first book ‘Make your own organic ice cream’ (which is available on Amazon/Waterstones) last year and am totally obsessed with reading, but if its a Friday or Saturday night, I’m usually out drinking cocktails.
